Surprise Show?

I attended the Pedlar's Jamboree in Boonville Mo. on May 25th to see Pokey Lafarge. I stood right in front of the stage and had conversations with several band members and crew, including Pokey, and I received a rumor that Jack may be playing with them in Madison Wisconsin in July. Can that be true?

According to their tour page, Pokey's playing Madison at the beginning of August.

I was specifically told July. They are playing on a terrace over a lake. I said "I was hoping to see Jack here with you guys", and the response I got was "Hey, you should come to our show in Madison in July".

We talked about the sound system at this concert because it sucked and then we talked about the record release show. There was no more mention of the Madison show or of Jack. My source seemed hesitant to give this information and did not want to talk about it any further.

Well, this certainly does qualify as a rumor. But if that was the conversation, then, technically, you didn't receive it. You just started it.

I guess, but the way it came about seemed very odd. I went up to talk about the show and I ended up with that. I don't know about anyone else, but I will certainly be there. Don't want to miss that chance.

Gonna have to keep an eye on Pokey's tour schedule, see if they change that August date.

Yeah. When I checked the tour schedule that night, the Madison stop wasn't even on there. Even if Jack isn't coming, something weird is going on.

He did not say "write it in stone" he said he "heard" it. Thanks for sharing. Maybe it will come to be, too far away for me.

I don't see why everybody feels like they have to be a dick towards this "news". He could have not mentioned it. If it happens will ya make an apology thread?
