Voodoo Fest
Did not see a post about it. Did I miss one?
Neil Young
Jack White
Metallica
Pretty damn good line up! They have camping. Looks like a lot of fun. Is anyone going. Are you camping. It's over a weekend. Man it would be fun to get a bunch of Swirlers there camping near each other. We could have fun for 4 Days. Who's up to going?

Going, most definitely not camping! Still trying to find out when they open the gates Sunday (which is the only day I'm going), and if the campers have any advantage (no camping last year, so no way to compare). Voodoo does not have the world's most user-friendly web site.
Strong chance that the RRS will be there.

Re: Voodoo Fest
I want to see Seasick Steve at TMR real bad, hope to get tickets. That interferes with Voodoo somewhat, I could still go see Jack and possibly Mettalica but no Neil Young is a heart breaker. I would have to get it in gear and would probably just fly from Nashville either Friday night if possible or Saturday morning. Would love to rake it in at the RRS. Ive never gotten there fast enough to get anything, in Denver we worried more about getting a good spot for Jack's B show than getting a record, they only had 20 Bolts and I already have one. Probably be the same way with the Triple Decker, just a few coppies and you would have to about kill your damn self to be the first few in line. But would love togo to New Orleans and this would be fun if the weather is good.

Today's bands are not very appealing. But the quality of the stream on my phone is great. Can't wait to hook it up to the big screen when Jack comes on.

Re: Voodoo Fest
Maybe the stream quality was okay on small screens, but on my computer it was very choppy. At the start I was getting maybe 20% of the live stream, and then it went downhill from there. Towards the end it would come on for only maybe a half-second, several times a minute.
Did anyone capture a clean live stream that they plan on uploading somewhere?
Add: Video would be great if anyone grabbed it. But even the complete audio would be nice.
(There was one audio file that I downloaded, but it does not include whatever JW was saying in the very beginning; I think it was just before the first song - Sixteen Saltines - but it might have been right after it. Not sure if that recording also cut out some of the other things he was saying or not.)

Don't know how it came across on the stream, but one of the best shows I've seen from Jack who was in top form in every way.

Yeah I got the same feeling. It kind of started awkward for some reason, but after that extended jam on Missing Pieces the show took off.Aquamarine wrote:Don't know how it came across on the stream, but one of the best shows I've seen from Jack who was in top form in every way.
