Live Stream May 18th / Hangout Fest in Alabama

Post by DeeBee »

I searched to see if there was already a topic for Jack's show tonight at the Hangout Fest, but I didn't find one.

Anyway, there's a live stream available on their myspace page, for those who want to watch online or capture it:
http://www.myspace.com/hangoutmusicfest

Their lineup page says he will be playing from 9:30-1100:00pm, local time; which is 10:30 pm EST for the live feed.

Add: The quality of the stream looks decent, not excellent. Low pixel resolution, but it's not stalling and skipping.
But why is it they always seem to spend half the screen time showing the audience instead of the band?? Dumb.

Stats say it's 1280x720. Wish they wouldn't starve the bitrate so much. AVC is a good codec, but not at 80-90kbps. Thanks for the links, will be fun watching Jack at his first large outdoor solo gig.

Maybe the low bitrate is to keep it from glitching up? Whether because their servers can't handle more, or users connections can't; whatever. The stream was working fine for me before, but then right before Jack was to come on, it started freezing up. I had to reopen the link a few times before it worked right again. Missed the beginning, came in partway through Missing Pieces.

Add: Buffalo AND Black Math. Sweet! :D

Watching now. Interesting version of ICLAB for sure.

What the heck is up with the low volume?

Volume is okay here. I've got it cranked up on their myspace volume control, and my speaker turned partway down.

Low volume here as well. I have the Myspace volume all the way up, my computer cranked all the way up and I'm wearing headphones. Still lower than half the volume I'd usually use. I'm also using Firefox on a Mac though, maybe browser makes a difference.

Looks like the heat's taking a toll on the band's energy tonight. Something's definitely off so far, not like last Tuesday at all.

Same here, except for the headphones and Mac. I'm recording the audio, but I'm afraid it's not going to come out well.

Dunno if the browser matters; but fwiw, I'm on Chrome and it's fine.

That Black Math was killer. Loved the intro to Ball and Biscuit. The whole show so far has been awesome.
(And Jack just dropped an F bomb. Ha.)

Did anyone catch that line in Ball and Biscuit just now? I've never heard him say "fuck" on stage before.
