June 3rd, 2014 Saenger Theatre, New Orleans
Jack White @ NOLA's Saenger Theatre. Appears to be entirely seated. Anyone familiar with this venue?

I'll be at this show I cant wait! I'm praying they have some I'm Shakin' tour edition, maybe a limited ed. slipmat or something! Just really excited to be there an' cant wait to hear some of these songs live in the flesh before the album comes out! When I saw Jack the first time on the blunderbuss tour, my ears rang for a week and a half straight! It was great : P

What was cost (after fees) for this show? Seems like it is really cheap on stubhub too. Tickets starting at $30!

The way stub hub works is people list tickets way ahead of time at a high cost. You can set it up where say every 2 weeks the price drops some. Then when it gets close to show/game time the prices drop, many times below of cost. That is what is happening to Jacks show in Shreveport. It's sold out but the flippers still have about 400 tickets left !
This is the best way to buy tickets to a Hockey game in Nashville. Stub Hub prices a day or two before the game are half of what they cost directly from the Predators.
I assume the tickets they get big money for make up for the ones they don't sell or sell cheap.
There's too many flippers now ... Which is because of Ebay, Stub Hub, Craigslist, and PayPal. Thats the way it is now.
To answer your question. I don't remember how much they were at Shreveport, not much. A little higher in New Orleans based on seat location.

Buy Ara's. StubHub is the scum of the world ... Ticket Scalpers suck. Flipping a record is one thing, buying up all the damn tickets and reselling them is another. I think after this tour the scalpers may skip some of Jacks tickets unless its at a small, famous, desirable venue.

Not bad at $64! That's what my STL tickets were close to. Were balcony much cheaper (since those are the ones that are $30 on stubz).
And yes thanks Woody I am aware of how stubhub works. Buy and sell on there often. Love buying Cardinals baseball tickets for $5 day of games!

Predators tickets that are normally $100 plus ... go for $40 a day or two before the game. Sometimes cheaper.Stl_ben wrote:Not bad at $64! That's what my STL tickets were close to. Were balcony much cheaper (since those are the ones that are $30 on stubz).

Re: June 3rd, 2014 Saenger Theatre, New Orleans
It was an incredible experience. The show was a lot different with a much slower vibe, I'm sure the guys were worn out. It was awesome, Jack went off on many journeys playing the guitar while quietly leading the band like an orchestra leader playing songs in a way that they have not been played or heard before. Kind of hard to explain. We had pit tickets again and it was closed off and we were aloud to stand in front of the stage. Jack recognized us from last night and came over very early during the show and stood damn near on top of me and played the shit out of the guitar. Came back later and did it again, I gently touched his guitar while he was playing it !!!
Quite an experience, several of the band members acknowledged us in different ways. It was a beautiful venue for sure.
The show in Shreveport was balls to the walls, show the world who is the best guitar player ever. He played the guitar over his head, he continued notes with just his left hand, Jimi Hendrix stuff .... Daru played the living shit out of the drums the first night.
But tonight the slide guitarist, fiddle player/ all around awesome musician played the thing that you move your hand around to make sounds, a Thermin (sp?) you know like the little kit the WS sold but his was real nice and I guess tied into a keyboard, I'm not sure how that works but it was spectacularly beautiful and a trip !!! The piano player is the best, the Bass player is the best. Jack is surrounded by the best.
Lillie Mae is sounding better and better !!! She is a beautiful creature of a fiddle player. Jack is at his best and surrounded by the best. Everyone should go to see him live regardless of what you think of the new album. I have just heard High Ball Stepper and the songs on my worlds fastest record and what has been streamed on the vault.
Both high ball stepper and Lazaretto are awesome live.
I have seen Jack 18 times as a solo artist, raconteur, and Dead Weather.
The Shreveport show is my favorite show of them all.
New Orleans would not be far behind. I'm looking forward to when I get home to listening to Lazaretto.
And my Led Zep re issues - lol
