Another Way to Die guitar tone and recording

Is there any intel out there on Jacks method for the song, particularly the solo. It has almost a brass instrument (tuba/trumpet) quality to it that is hard to describe.

So an ideas on pedals or recording methods used?

I've been curious about this for a while!
