Here is a good rumor for you

Post by Alabama Woody »

At one of the Americana Music shows this past weekend one of the ladies form Jack's band performed with another artist. When asked about her upcoming work with Jack.......She said there is no more boy and girl band. She said that was over with.......??.......

I didn't think that would continue. It was a cool idea and worked for the first tour, but that's a lot of money to keep those musicians on hold in case you wanna use them. I wouldn't be surprised to see a completely new set of musicians on the next solo outing. Maybe a few people would stick around.

I would like to see Jack play with little Jack and Patrick again. Don't know if he would want to do solo with them due to the Rac's connection but I miss those guys. They are both superb musicians. Who knows what he is up to. Maybe some Dead Weather then more solo work. It would be hard to ask those musicians to just wait for the call.....

Time will tell.

I'd love to see him with Patrick and LJ again, too. LJ in particular. The two of them just gel so well, like Mississippi Fred McDowell and Tom Pomposello.

I know that Daru Jones has been doing work with Jack. Well, he was in August or so. I'm guessing he's still a factor in the solo recording process. FWIW.
Hey, it's just a fucking record. Chill.

I'm going to see Hanni El Khatib (sp?) in October, would be awesome if Patrick played drums. The show is in Nashville at the Cannery. Fingers crossed.

Didn't see this thread when first posted, mind if I stir the pot a little? I'm so ready for the next album. Been on a WS kick lately and I need more solo stuff to ease the pain of never having the hope of a new White Stripes album.

I'd really like to see a smaller backing band on the next tour -- his band for the Llewyn Davis show was 4 pieces including him, and they sounded so clear and brand new, it was sparkly fresh and so warm! Like your favourite sweater right out of the dryer. Except newer. Throw a snappy drummer in there and that's plenty. I've got my fingers crossed for Carla, but she's a busy lady... how about Ryan from Pokey's band on a full kit with his brushes, I mean I'm getting really wishful now but that would be gorgeous...

Can you remember which four pieces?
