I bet Jack doesn't really want too though. Its too much like a festival (I stand corrected)
I will actually watch the grammys this year with The Black Keys and Mumford and Sons playing as well
I said that because I thought Jack didn't like to play festivals

Doesn't seem like the type to do something he doesn't want to do.
TWS Grammys was pretty bad ass looking forward to this one!

Haha, Jack's a Renaissance man, marketing being one of his strong suits. He sure as hell wants to play this gig. And he'll kill it.

Why would anyone assume he doesn't want to do it... silly... anyone remember the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards when the Racs were the "house band"... was awesome... wish I had a HQ recording of them doing "Cheap Sunglasses" with Billy Gibbons... highlight of the night...

That's great news. I hope he does a kick-ass rock song from Blunderbuss.
Freedom at 21 is the song that got nominated, but he's not limited to doing that one, right?
He could probably perform Sixteen Saltines instead, if he wanted. Or maybe even a medley of the two, the way that TWS slid from Seven Nation Army into Death Letter at the 2004 Grammies. I'm Shaking or Love Is Blindness would be awesome too, even though they're both covers. Almost anything he decides to do could be wonderful. (Anything except Love Interruption, that is. Please not that one again.)

I would love to hear Love is Blindness. Was hoping to hear it at one of the shows I was at. That would be epic

It will be interesting to see what he does because you have to think he is bringing both bands to the stage.

i think he can and will put together any sort of collection of presenters to any effect he choose as a genuine statement of his solo artist vision of arrangementStay Gold wrote:It will be interesting to see what he does because you have to think he is bringing both bands to the stage.

Re: Jack Playing the 55th Grammy's!
Or what if
Jack storms onto the stage, guitar in hand already screaming, striding towards what he expects are willing musical cooperatives.
He arrives at the left side of the stage, where girly silhouettes stand to attention; must be The Peacocks.
A spotlight hits the silhouettes to reveal cardboard cut-outs and garbage, a mirage.
They are not there.
Disgruntled but not put-out, he gallops to the other side, guitar still calling, waiting for a response.
Silhouettes of The Buzzards loom, waiting.
The spotlight angles again, and lo! No Buzzards to speak of.
He turns around and bounds up stage, confronted by silhouettes of Meg, Little Jack, Brendan, Alison, Dean, Patrick...
And the spotlight cruelly shows they are naught but strategically arranged piles of sound equipment.
In a panic, he realizes he is all alone for this one.
And he tears it apart.

Or given the "significance" of the Grammys, he tore it up and then asked the crowd, "JESUS CHRIST, what is this, a NARAS convention?!"
