i love that jack often brings up painting and the challenge of the artist in those terms... lets me know he has given the situation some consideration

Still to this day, I find this sit down interview to the most comfortable and most revealing Jack White I have seen....never gets old

^^ Have you heard Marc Maron's interview with him? I actually enjoy it a tad more than this one, Maron asks him some great questions and describes some of the stuff in Jack's office.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."
