Rarest 2012 Blunderbust tour Print & Best/worst tour prints
Thanks for the explanation, I would not have pieced that together I like my posters a lot more now that I'm knowledgeable of the meaning. Thank You!Theresa Lime wrote:There were 80 Birmingham prints available at the show from an edition of 195. If they weren't numbered, then it means the printer forgot to number them in the rush to get them out the door.
The date in the underprint of the Radio City poster (May 22) is the feast day for St. Rita. In life, as the story goes, she had a head wound that never healed and had a mephitic stench. Upon her death on May 22, 1457, the wound emitted the fragrance of roses.

I'm glad I pointed these dicks out to everyone. I remember when someone posted it in the original poster thread and it ruined me ever being able to see the poster without seeing the dicks first.
You're welcome.

I gotta put a vote in for the Roseland poster. I thought the image of the turntable and vinyl in the reflection of the visor was very clever. The 2001 Space Odysee theme is in there as well. Anyone know a story behind this one?

(September 3rd, 2009) - NASA astronaut John "Danny" Olivas, STS-128 mission specialist, uses a digital still camera to expose a photo of his helmet visor during the mission's second session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. Also visible in the reflections in the visor are various components of the station and European Space Agency astronaut Christer Fuglesang, mission specialist, anchored to a Canadarm2 mobile foot restraint. During the six-hour, 39-minute spacewalk, Olivas and Fuglesang installed the new Ammonia Tank Assembly on the Port 1 Truss and stowed the empty tank assembly into the Space Shuttle Discovery's cargo bay.richardcosta wrote:I gotta put a vote in for the Roseland poster. Speaking of Radio City and needing more tidbits, I finally took a much closer look at this poster when I dropped it off at the framer. At first glance in the venue, I thought Jack was holding a ring, but he's holding a tooth. Would love to know the significance of that.Kali Durga wrote:Missed this earlier. Very cool. I think that Radio City is now one of the top 5 of the tour for me. Gonna be on my wall as soon as I can get my butt to the framer.Theresa Lime wrote:The date in the underprint of the Radio City poster (May 22) is the feast day for St. Rita. We need more little tidbits like this, whomever they're from.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."
