Vault shipping with FedEx
I've read terrible things about FedEx concerning the custom fees in Germany. You get your parcel and weeks later you'll find an overpriced bill in your mailbox. They charge 10,- handling fees.
The often convert USD to Euro 1:1. I hope the best but I'm very very pessimistic this time.
This never happens with DHL/USPS. My tracking ID from wednesday is still invalid.

FedEx dumps all the packages for Europe together and ships them to sweden first. Hence the SE at the end of your tracking number. Once in Sweden the packages are dumped into the local mailing system.
I don't know how it was with you, but I received last vault from my local mail carrier, not some fedex guy with a fedex car. Seeing how it is basically handled as a package coming from Sweden by local mail carriers, I actually don't see any problems with fees.

With 'no fees' do you mean no extra fed ex fee or no additional fees on top of those 80$ for the vault subscription?profsteenmarter wrote:Ditto. They mark the package at $20 so no import tax for me in Holland.

Re: Vault shipping with FedEx to Germany
Received mine yesterday.
Seems like FedEx is quicker to Europe.
And I've never paid any extra fees on VPs. Just the $80 it costs us europeans.
However, I've paid import tax on some other stuff from TMR:

Got the package in yesterday. No extra charges/customs fees. Vault 26 had FedEx too, no fees with that one either.Thinkfirst wrote:With 'no fees' do you mean no extra fed ex fee or no additional fees on top of those 80$ for the vault subscription?profsteenmarter wrote:Ditto. Received a letter from the customs office today. Have to pick it up there and pay (like almost always) approx. 12 euros.

But why do they charge you? They value it 20$. That should not be charged right?dying stereo wrote:Received a letter from the customs office today. Have to pick it up there and pay (like almost always) approx. 12 euros.

Re: Vault shipping with FedEx to Germany
They calculate the fees concerning the 80,-.I must show them the bill from my mastercard. This sucks, but since #12 i received only three without customs pick up.
