I don't stream or listen to music through the internet.

I don't, either. But if I did, I would probably go ahead and take advantage of the $5/month deal.

If I stream online, it's at work and I listen to free online radio. Mostly because my best friend is a DJ on a local station and it's not a bad station.

If I'm listening to music elsewhere, it's on my real lossless HD music player. #Pono #Toblerone

I stream free spotify, there's nothing at this point that convinces me Tidal is better when I only listen at work on shitty computer speakers.

I've utilized my free trial, and have gotten used to it.
This is the first premium steaming service I've had, but if it were not for the free trial or discount I'm sure I wouldn't continue my service.
Although, my friends and I all agree we've heard things we've never heard before in our favorite songs.

Well I would like to join Tidal but reading the info so far it says that interrupting your vault service will screw up your tidal sub. Once you screw it up you can't get the $5 a month deal.
My cc exp date will need updating this fall.
So I can wait until this fall :-) or I could change my vault payment to paypal and update it now.
As usual it's not easy ..... To do.

They really need to fix the vault so you can update your payment method, expiration dates, etc without it effecting your sub. Just silly stupid that you can't at the moment.

We subscribe to Rhapsody. It's not unusual for the family to be streaming two or three different channels/artist at any given time around the house. We'll be vetting Tidal as a cheaper alternative.

Probably not. I have Amazon streaming with my Prime account. Less selection, but will get me by in a pinch for new stuff. I try out new music on YouTube often to see if I want to secure it in a more permanent format. Tidal is definitely higher quality if you have the bandwidth to stream with it.

Side note - Has anyone found a higher quality stream of the Jack White Fargo show than 1080 on Tidal? It's tough to get it to stream in the highest quality when you don't have manual options to select streams and must rely on them to properly analyze your connection. I was able to trick it to get the 1080 stream but didn't find anything of higher quality.

I subscribed to TIDAL.
The only other streaming service I used was Amazon Prime streaming, which was pretty good, but relatively less options/fewer albums from artists than I'd like.
I've found some pretty good raggae/ska playlists that I've gotten into and they've got a ton of Sun Ra.
However, I am still, by choice, streaming at the lowest quality available even though I am subscribed to HIFI.

I was also impressed to find Parasite Diet and Sherbert on TIDAL.

Why stream the lowest quality by choice?

I have weak DSL internet at home so trying to stream the hi-fi for more than 10 seconds at a time isn't viable.

I literally expected you to say that you just preferred the raw realness of low-fi streaming.
