Favorite Vault Package Thus Far

Post by dreamover »

Since the fifth year of the vault is coming to an end (2009 saw two packages), what do you think are the best packages so far? Pick up to three and you can change your answers.

I think this could be interesting information to get an idea of what people are really looking for in the vault.

1) Willie Nelson and Friends at TMR....I think this is one of the most unique packages...I love the collection of songs by a ton of big artists.. Just an incredible LP all together..by far my favourite vault LP and my most spun..

2) Live at Mississippi... Just cool to have their last show..

3) UGWNL B-shows...Just cool to have that from their Canadian tour, being Canadian and having been at one of the shows

my favorites do not equal what I would want in future releases...I picked 2 live LPs and they are great, but I wouldn't want every package to be a live LP. You can have one really good one and not need 10 more from the same band.

that makes sense.

i know that vault 1 has always been a favorite, but is it more because it is the hardest to find or because that's what more people want?

Picked VP-14 (Jack live), VP-16 TWS in Chicago, and VP-8 TWS final show (i don't own this one but it looks the best of all). Maybe VP-22 will take the cake when it arrives.

Does anyone have the Karen Elson or Wanda Jackson ones? Those were before my time (14 was my first) but I think I would have skipped them and likely rank them as last.

Do you listen to them? I sort of regret not ordering the Willie pack but don't feel the same way about these 2.

I listen to that way more than my stereo copy. The mix is far superior.
i won't let love disrupt, corrupt, or interrupt me anymore...

The concept behind 'Boscobel Blues' was my favorite thus far.

I love those packs, especially the Karen one, but I was at the shows, so I may be biased.

What was the concept behind it? I don't know much (or anything) about 'Boscobel Blues'.

Is there a site that has torrents for some of these?

I find it funny that Jack @ Bonnaroo is the most voted for and nobody has it yet..

I think the votes are a little skewed because everyone is excited about the new announcement..I bet in 6 months if we took this pole again, it might have half the votes. There are much better packages than this one.

I think it just goes to show that people get bored really quickly and always want something new....I guess that is the reason for the slow down around here lately..

that's why you can change your vote!

but i do think this package might be the most elaborate package yet. (or the most expensive to produce). so some people think the value is the best yet. i do feel like this will be one i spin a lot.
