At least you got a noise-free racs. Most people didn't.

It took a lot of time, communication, and complaining loudly (and publicly) to get one... and I forwarded audio clips of the noises to TMR proving that my copy had issues (and did it voluntarily) multiple times (I got 4 bad copies before I got a good one).dreamover wrote:At least you got a noise-free racs. Sorry man, that sucks, always disappointing to get the anticipated release and find defects... warps never really bother me too much (unless they're really bad), I have a few records that have some little ripples in them, like a copy of Zeppelin IV with a nice wave in it from beiing left on a TT in the sun, I just up my tracking force .25-.50 grams and keep it spinning... sure you can hear a little distortion in that spot, but never enough that it bothers me. for some reason flaws in vinyl don't bother me nearly as much as flaws in digital media (like mp3s or CDs, nothing pisses me off more than a skipping CD, a skipping record? nope, just pop it over a groove or two)...arewhyehen wrote:Ya, I got two bad copies and never got a good onejrfhoutx wrote:It took a lot of time, communication, and complaining loudly (and publicly) to get one... and I forwarded audio clips of the noises to TMR proving that my copy had issues (and did it voluntarily) multiple times (I got 4 bad copies before I got a good one).dreamover wrote:At least you got a noise-free racs. Mine also came really badly warped so I messaged them and they send a new one. This one came and the sleeve was split on all three sides, however the record seemed to be fine.arewhyehen wrote:Ya, I got two bad copies and never got a good onejrfhoutx wrote:It took a lot of time, communication, and complaining loudly (and publicly) to get one... and I forwarded audio clips of the noises to TMR proving that my copy had issues (and did it voluntarily) multiple times (I got 4 bad copies before I got a good one).dreamover wrote:At least you got a noise-free racs. I definitely like this idea for a 7", but neither like nor think it possible or acceptable for an entire lp of material like that; I can't imagine any artist wanting a full lp of their unfinished demo material being released in one fell swoop. Later on, as individually released b-sides or something similar, sure...maybe.Nicode70 wrote:wouldn't it be awsome to have demos of the upcomming material jack's working on? like early stages parts of the songs?
would be cool to have that before the actual release of an album, as a teaser!
Edit: just been charged for this vault.
Not that I'm aware of, he has said that he already has enough material for a second album. Furthermore, he has had new recording sessions with the peacocks and buzzards, so I think it is just assumed that he has been working on a new album, but then again we are talking about Jack so you never knowMick III wrote:Yeah it would be great. By the way, Jack White didn't mention when he will be back with a new album ?
