This Friday, July 13th we'll be trying something new at Third Man and we'd love for EVERYONE to be here. Young and old... Let's call it a Rock n Roll lunch. An all ages matinee live rock n roll show here at Third Man Records. What could be better then some mid-afternoon psychedelia and rock music on a summers day?
This Friday at 11am join us in our live venue, The Blue Room, for a pretty amazing show at any time of day, much less for a lunchtime live album recording...
The People's Temple from Lansing MI keep building a reputation for amazing shows and records bursting with heavy psychedelia that swings harder then Earthen Vessle ever did (that one's for you, Lansing MI obscure Christian Psych collectors...).
We can't say much about our headliner just yet, but we're going to announce that tomorrow. But let us just say that their Self Titled album that's recently out is one of our favorites this year on one of our favorite labels of every year and we're excited they're making time to record a sure to be epic Live album with us before they have to roll out of town... Intrigued? You should be!
So all of you students on summer break, unemployed people, rock n roll babies and aging hipsters make your way out to Third Man on Friday afternoon for the first of a cool and fun series of matinee recording sessions at Third Man. You shant regret it!
This Friday, please enter the venue via Drexel at Room In The Inn. Our alleyway is currently under construction.
Black and Blue versions of the headliner's live LP will be available to pre-order for those in attendance after the show from our record store, as will the split color 45 from The People's Temple. The standard black vinyl version will be available as soon as we can get them mixed pressed and on the shelves!

Best bet is to buy the tix and see if someone else can use them for you. Back at the Belles' absinthe release show, Nesguys purchased a ticket, then called TMR and had them put it in our friend Elizabeth's name. I've always wondered. I never buy tickets to shows I might make the trip down for because I don't want to waste a pair of tickets that someone else can use if I can't make it.
I wouldn't really ask them to do anything. I was just wondering if I bought tickets planning to go and find out I can't I still want them to be used. It's been a few months so I am due soon..
