What does your invite look like?
The invite I saw was really lame. You don't want this....go on now...
Thanks Ben, I don't like lame things.

I can vouch for thnksfrtht if anyone is worried. The invite is actually the exact one that I put a picture up here of when the even was announced. I think it might be in the database..

Jack owns a record player that plays 3rpm records. Of course he does.

Supposedly this is a picture of it, though I wonder if it's mis-captioned-- http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/galler ... -418232#12

Full article that mentions it-- http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/j ... 2nd-418105
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."

Has to be miscaptioned, that's a record lathe. I'm assuming it's the one the installed for cutting their live acetates.

That's what I assumed it was. It's also mentioned in the article, but whomever was captioning was obviously off-the-ball.

The article also mentions a 45 put out on TMR by Stephen Hawking, instead of Carl Sagan...

Yup, noticed that, too.

Best part of the whole article--
"The rolling record store truck … releasing records by balloon … hiding records in couches … they're all things that don't really make any money; they're just ways that I want things to exist and ways I want to present what I create. And I love, love, love to f--- with people who think that's fake or gimmicky because they are completely missing the point of art. The beauty of it is clouded by the presentation that they can't get past."
I love when Jack admits he loves to fuck with people. Keep on keeping us on our toes, Jack.
