Chris Thile

I looked around for a bit and didn't find a topic dedicated to him, but if there is one, and I missed it, a merge certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Nothing quite like a broad musical base to build upon.

I've seen Punch Brothers play live a couple times, and it's amazing to see. All top-notch musicians. I mean, Chris received a grant for being a genius. Come on now.

I read one article about this that mentioned Chris has hosted PHC in the past, or co-hosted, or something.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."
