which album is best? Seen him live a few times have yet to pick up an album besides the Ty/WF Hair
it's about time to check out a solo album i think...

I got back on this forum to say that I have been obsessed with Tim Presley (White Fence). I really couldn't decide what album is the best. I have listened to all albums many times consecutively without wanting to turn them off. I haven't felt this way about an artist in a long time... every album + Hair is worth a listen to me.

John Webster Johns is currently a touring guitarist for White Fence, but spends much of his time releasing music under various monikers (Fictional Boys and Muzz) and working behind-the-scenes as a studio mastermind (Ariel Pink, Cass McCombs). Next year, the Los Angeles native will release his debut album under his latest project, Jack Name. Titled Light Show, it’s due out January 21st via Drag City imprint God? Records.

If you like White Fence you should definitely check out the Live from San Francisco on Castleface. It sounds great.

the live lp is so good, i like it better than the studio stuff. so much more energy i gotta catch them the next time they come through nyc

I saw them at BK bowl earlier this year. Really good show, definitely high energy on stage riffing on that guitar.

Jack Name preorder is up on Drag City. LP only & it's $20 which is interesting, more expensive than all their other LPs.
