To be honest, I don't dig their music at all. But in the "faggot" video, no truer words can be spoken. It's sad that we still live in a world of hate and prejudice. Everyone should get along for who they are not they're sexual/religious/color of their skin. That was a powerful video that more people worldwide should see. Thanks for posting that. :)

Looked up a little more on how they came to be Die Antwoord, and apparently they've been together in a couple previous rap acts as well. They actually are married and have a kid too.
Here's one of their videos from a past group called MaxNormal.TV

Here is one of their interviews for max normal TV. You can get a sense of their head space even back then. They definitely had a goal in mind but didn't know which form it would take.

Then you posted here.

The reason why it surprised me was based on your higher level of intelligence you would have gotten it. To each their own of course. (that wasn't a diss btw). This isn't about the genre, its about tapping into the feeling. With them it isn't about "hearing" the music, it's about absorbing it. It takes some people a little while. I think this group is the dividing line, it's either you get it or you don't. Regarding my musical taste, its more diverse than you think, on maaany levels :)

Plus based on the way you typed it you sound drunk. Party either way!

How intelligent do you need to be to get this?

So far a lot of people with common sense haven't gotten it that's why I was so surprised when the haterade started.

I dig the Philosophy just not the sound they make.

I hear you a lot of people are like that. It can get distracting depending on where your musical tastes are. :D

The music is kind of secondary for me, though it gets in your head, it's the presentation that drew me in. I find the interviews as fascinating as the videos.
