I haven't been so serenely captivated by a duo/track like that in a long time. I really really love when the harp kicks in. Love her voice in this, his is just as swell....

As lovely as lovely can get. I will have this on repeat for weeks to come. Thanks for this one hawke!

after one listen of some Laura Marling it was clear that she had velvet undertones ... i knew she would be one of the first TMR purchases for me

then i saw the video of her Neil Young cover and had a sense of how she might expand her repetoire... so much respect

A word of heads’up for the newspaper buying folk of the UK: how would ya like a slice a’ LM to go with your eggs this weekend? Well, attached to this Sunday’s The Observer you will find a special one-off CD containing the following studio recordings and (previously unreleased) live versions:
• Failure
• Ghosts (Live from York Minster)
• Night Terror (Live from York Minster)
• Devil’s Spoke (Live from St James’s Church, London)
• What He Wrote
• Goodbye England (Covered In Snow)
• Made By Maid
• I Was Just A Card (Live from York Minster)
• Night After Night (Live from Housing Works Café, New York)
• Sophia
The tracks are taken from LM’s 3 albums Alas I Cannot Swim, I Speak Because I Can and A Creature I Don’t Know. Also included inside the paper will be a track by track review, alongside a Q&A with L’Marl. herself.

I have a couple of tix for late show in NYC tonight I won't be using. I will be at the earlier set. If anybody in the area can use them let me know.
Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

That's cool.

That poem was also included on the back of the bonus poster you got with the white US Creature LP.

Saw this thread and then saw you posted last and it reminded me of the Laura Marling show from last year in Toronto when I stood next to you the whole time and didn't know who you were lol
