There's the Kevron I know and love! In all seriousness, I loved "Ten" but tuned out after that. Jesus, wasn't that like 1990? Oh well, you've got ten years to make your first album and six months to make your second.

Oh man - Ten and Vs. were good. Everything after that was not. I didn't mind Backspacer either.

I'm with you on this one... And Nirvana as well... never have liked either of their stuff.
I'm sure I just made a few enemies but at least I have Kevron on my side...

I don't care what music other people listen to, but that being said, Nirvana changed the world. It would have happened one way or the other, but it happened that Nirvana was there. Live they rocked, Unplugged in NY chokes me up and Kurt was about the art. Who else could go from "Nevermind" to "In Utero"?

And pearl jam WAS good. I'll never forget PJ, Nirvana and RHCP, live in Salem. Now they are just a bit tired. Eddie Vedder's "Into The Wild" soundtrack is wonderful. The real SUCK FACE MUTHER FUCKERS are the members over at PJcollectors.com. Spam 'em and tell them STOUTR sent you!!!

I respect Nirvana, they were the flag bearers of an important shift.

I liked Ten and Vs. from Pearl Jam, but I was in junior high. I remember getting them in one of those 10 CDs for a penny mailorder deals from BMG or Columbia House. Not impressed since.

I like threads like this, even though I disagree. Pearl Jam, although they may not appeal to everyone here, are a band that has stood the test of time for a lot of good reasons. There live shows are incredible, and they have a genuine appreciation of their fans. How many bands out there are willing to play a four hour set? Pearl Jam's vinyl comes out before the other formats. All of their shows are available to fans. Again, I love this thread and people being honest about their tastes. I'll always be a fan of a band that hasn't forgotten the reasons they got into music.
