The indie exclusive "bootleg edition" is /1250. "shugarecords" in Chicago posted a pic to Instagram, not sure if I'll need the extra copy but may be tempted for the fun of it if I come across one before my ATO order arrives.

That's surprising. I'm pretty sure the primus and Alabama shakes bootlegs were out of 1000

Yeah, that's also already 3250 "limited" variants total before you even take into account the orange (which might just be the regular retail variant at this point).

And I think I have pre orders for every one... I'm really enjoying this album though. After my first listen I wasn't really feeling the first three tracks but upon my second listen they feel much better and act as a nice intro into the album. I love the clarinet, piano and harmonic. They've got a real way with melding their sound with instruments that you don't hear as often in a lot of music today. I'm looking forward to the next tour... Whenever that may be. Oh and my favorite track is definitely The Bitter Boogie. The bass line is so familiar but I can't remember what song it sounds like.

^ Also some nice vocals by Ambrose (I think? Sounds a lot like The Murlocs to me) in Bitter Boogie. I haven't spent as much time with the second half of the album but it is definitely creeping into my top picks of the year. Not sure how I'd rate it against Quarters just yet but maybe I'm biased because everytime I start up that album I'm reminded of how awesome The River was live.

My ATO order shipped and it also indicated that my order will include an autographed insert (meaning the book)

The totals on those "bootleg" editions have kinda been all over the place, but I don't think I've seen one out of 1250 before. UPDATE: Lucero's recent one was out of 1372. So maybe they are just increasing the overall numbers now?
These are the ones that I have seen or own:
Polica out of 500
Cold War Kids out of 500
Alabama Shakes out of 500
Primus out of 750
Dawes out of 500
Jason Isbell out of 500
Childish Gambino out of 800
Chvrches out of 500
Tokyo Police Club out of 500
Stars out of 500
Gogol Bordello out of 800
Okkervil River out of 500
Yuck out of 500

There also appears to be a flexi being given with copies at some stores.

Looks like the signed book is just a CD booklet and it's missing a signature

The plot thickens, another variant:

The pic comes from an Aussie record store (Beatdisc), unsure how limited the yellow is.

With all the chatter about this new album I decided to stream a bit of it to see what all the fuss was about, and I really dig it.
I'll be keeping my eye out for a copy at my local on Friday.
