Did you know this was written by a known pedophile and general rich kid creeper:

Reading about that band and Markley is a real internet Rabbit hole, enjoy.

Welcome newbie!

This might make it all creepy, but I still think TDW's cover of it is awesome

Bruh-bruh, i joined before you, we have had conversations, i just haven't been around in awhile!

I saw this article about the West Coast Experimental Pop experience and never really was aware of who had wrote A Child of Few Hours, in light of Markley's rampant psychosis and pedophilia the lyrics take a darker meaning.

This bit on Markley is pretty revealing:

And yea, the cover kills, this version is my favorite:

I don't think I had heard this song before the DW cover, but every time I listen to their version it brings to mind images of the Korean and Viet Nam wars for me. Markley's story is pretty harrowing and somehow fitting.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."
