Re: Start collection
Having a sealed Vault 10 is great and all, but nowhere near as good as having that show blasting out of your speakers at top volume. Sure, a record loses monetary value once you unseal and play it, but it gains a whole lot more in the process...I don't collect vinyl records, I collect the music that's on them.
And while have had no joy with TMR random lottos, if ever I do score a limited release I'll be playing it (unless I don't particularly care for that one, in which case I'll be looking to score a trade for one I do care about).
Point is, collect away, but don't lose sight of what it's all about, which, for me at least, is the music.
EDIT: DRAT! New page makes post look like a non sequitur.

Re: Start collection
One other tip on collecting is watch out for those over price euro fakes on eBay always research the single or Album first,
and if you have any doubts post in on here and ask , also welcome

Is anyone selling any limited edition records or vault packages or posters I'd be willing to make an offer

Best bet is to go through here and see if there is anything you're interested in.leo wrote:Is anyone selling any limited edition records or vault packages or posters I'd be willing to make an offer

Or post a specific ISO (In Search Of) if there is something in particular you're looking for here.

Also, there is a database here if you want to research prices. It's not complete but it's at least a good start to give you an idea of what things go for. You can get to it by clicking on the logo in the upper left hand corner or here is the link for it as well.

Take some time to wander around the forum with these links and get a feel for how the place works. If you have questions feel free to ask as most people around here are willing to help.

I started collecting when I was 15. So I say go for it!
I just traded in all my WS extras, otherwise I would have a nice little start for you

Re: Start collection
My fellow swirlers are giving you great advice and welcome to the neighborhood. Start with what you like/love. You did great on that vault package, but I would definitely without a doubt join the premium vault!...your collection will start to snowball and you can trade on this forum for exactly what you want and like and love. I happen to live in Nashville which has been a big advantage so I have like 12 TRI color limited presses... Have you gotten any of those yet? (there are no rac TRIs yet, but I'msure that will be at the top of your list if/when they come out. I collect what I love, but I also collect what is rare and valuable so i can trade for other things. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.leo wrote:Are all of the tri's released only at TMR
