Hum, very nice item (might cost a hell of money to ship) but my wife told me she would prefer me to store them flat because tube are too big and not easy to store... this is a pretty big piece of furniture.

Hi! (sorry in advance for longish post)

This place is expensive, but they've got boxes, folders, LP sleeves, tubes, comic-book storage, etc. -- it's what a lot of museums and conservation people use. Works for me until I get the right (cheap) real storage. And they have good sales sometimes.

With the Lazaretto tour coming up and my wall space maxed out, it's time for me to invest in a portfolio and I'd like the binder-style that can be flipped through. Dug through this thread and saw recommendations for the A1 portfolio, is that still what folks here would recommend?--

I use one like that (Portrait...not landscape) and its got all the sleeves you just slide your posters into and then flip through like a book. I know a few others use this style as well. I love it.

I use this and it's great for price. It's nice because you an flip through it and look at them. Anything bigger I make an acid-free foamcore sandwich

I have a few larger ones that are an inch or two too large for the 18x24 portfolio, so I was thinking about getting something like this. I think most have plastic dividers inside to separate pieces.

I've been looking for a cheap, large flat file for years, and I finally lucked out last weekend. Found a business selling 10 of them in Nashville and I responded quickly enough to get a 54" x 42" 5 drawer metal flat file in great condition for $60. Could not be happier with it. Unfortunately, it is too big for our current house and will have to wait until we move, but I can't wait to get my posters out of tubes and into it.

Yup, I noticed that too. I hate when the artist makes a 24x36 print and then adds a 1 inch white border or something around the edge so it doesnt fit in a standard frame or portfolio...haha

This is the only one I could find...They have a store in Nashville that I ordered one to a few years ago and picked it up when I went down for RSD. It says they hold prints up to 22x34 but it actually holds 24x36. I can confirm that...I was a bit worried so I brought in a print and put it in and even measured the sleeves before buying it. I forget what I paid for it a few years ago but I love it for all my larger prints. It even flips through like a book, just like the itoya 18x24 portfolios...
