I shoot real film (Analog Photography hobby thread)
Hey swirlers, do any of you shoot real film or have interest in photography, Specifically analog photography? ive always had an interest and I've had a holga camera for a few years and i love it. my new love is an amazing polaroid camera i found in Amsterdam in a flea market, the main pain with polaroid is finding good film but there is one company who makes new stock called The Impossible Project. so ya feel free to share here any of your photos you have taken or any tricks you know or good places to pick up gear and film.

I throw away so many polaroid cameras every day....Go to your local goodwill and get one for $3 any day of the week. Also Polaroid film is pretty easy to find now that places like Target and Urban Outfitters carry it.

Re: I shoot real film (Analog Photography hobby thread)
I love photography. I don't have anything fancy. My girlfriend and I both have a Canon Rebel XS. Between the two of us we have a bunch of lenses for all types of situations.
I have an old Konica film camera from my old man, but digital is just so much more accessible and cheaper. I am not at the level where I could use a film camera. I would be throwing many rolls of film out..ha
I do have the WS cameras as well. I have never used them to shoot though. Thought about it, but they are so pretty...Maybe if I find a cheap spare..
Photography is probably my biggest hobby other than vinyl. I love being able to go out on a walk and relax and just enjoy nature. That is the only time I enjoy taking photos.. I hate when family asks me to do wedding photos or engagement or a big celebration where it puts pressure on me. That's not what a hobby is all about. You do it to relax, not stress..

I'm just getting into film photography, but so far most (read: all) of my good shots seem to have been of my dog:
I also used this photo as the basis of my entry to the Karen Elson dress competition:

More film. Less digital.

Re: I shoot real film (Analog Photography hobby thread)
fuck yes!!
so i like to shoot ONLY film. everywhere i travel or go i only carry film cameras with me, instead of one digital. hell i don't even own a digital point n shoot.
here's a link to my flickr if anyone is interested http://www.flickr.com/photos/themonster4/ every single shot on there is film.
i like it better than digital. i actually go and get everything printed so i have about 4 shoe boxes full of pictures. i like being able to hold pictures in my hand, as opposed to just seeing them on a screen.
i'll post some pictures of my cameras soon.
i've been following the impossible project for a while now, their new stuff is really awesome. they've definitely come a long way.
