The Black Belles are a new band fronted by Olivia Jean from Detroit with their sound heavily rooted in the soul and garage rock of the 60's, while managing to sound very modern at the same time. Discovered by Jack White and brought to Third Man Studios for their first recordings, this is their inaugural single, "What Can I Do" and "Lies". The Black Belles are a rare find these days, a band that manages to give strong nods to their roots but they also push the music into new territories that is very much their own. This is a band everybody should expect great things from, and we are very excited to have them on the label.
