Big TMR collections

Post by love_islander »

I've been wondering for a while, and now my curiosity has surpassed my preference for politeness - are there people who have collected a shit-ton of TMR goodies over the near-7 years they've been open? I know I was grabbing everything I could up to about TMR050 and eventually pared back to just my must-haves. I'm sure people have maintained the passion, and I'd be keen to see collection photos of records, merch, posters, etc in big heaps. Tanzaib? Panos? RSimms? I've got my suspicions about who's is bigger.... (not that its just the size that matters, how you keep it all stored, how much of the house is cluttered with it, etc.)

I am missing the Gories tri, one school choirs, and a few of the test or mispresses- but I have paid over the odds for some of them!
Dear NSA, I hope that you enjoy this post.

I don't care much for variants unless I can get them for cost but I have at least one version of most releases.

Are you talking about your post count? Because I can think of a way to make it smaller.

I've had a ton of Third Man goodies come and go over the years. I traded most of it off for O.G. White Stripes singles, which I have reasonably completed (at least to my satisfaction, given my financial limitations). Point being my TMR collection would be fairly massive if I had no interest in White Stripes singles. :D

That being said, aside from my dozen or so non-Vault novelty variants I do own every standard 7" Third Man has released. However, I'm not a contender. I've seen some of your collections. It's like looking into the sun.

I'm honored to be considered in your list Luke but my collection is rather small consisting mainly of Vault packages, a few regular releases, and a few choice gems I can't discuss in public.... I've sold the good stuff to buy more practical things like tractors, record lathes, and vacations.

My mistake for picking you out then!

Still hoping for some photos here!

There was a time when people would post beautiful photos of their collections (unfortunately a select few reacted poorly.) They're around here somewhere. I'd enjoy seeing them updated. HappyDad? Grimtale? Trickster? Dylnfan? et al...
