Your good friend is either pulling your leg or getting lousy info.Bikedo wrote:A good friend of mine told me that depending on the content, it's usually between about 1800 and 2200.

We had pretty good intel at SXSW 2009 and it was wink-wink, nudge-nudge in the "2,500" range for Vault #1JonnyH wrote:I bet there were at least 7 back at Vault #1.
I got that deep into variants once before with a collection, please shoot me if I go there again, it will drive you crazy I promise...
But nice stuff for sure.

Re: How many Vault members are there ?
If Vault #1 was @ 2,500 (and I trust the source) then it'll be @ 10,000 - 15,000 now.
•<Jack White> we also want to come up with vault packages you don't like, a streaming service to make rich people richer, a t shirt
too big for you, and a bunch of shit you don't want but we're hold ing a gun to your head to purchase.

I think if they have trouble selling 1,000 of their normal releases why would there be a significant larger number of vault members?

Re: How many Vault members are there ?
most of the singles they don't sell out of and they only press 1,000 to start. The paramount record box is limited to 1,000 and that hasn't sold out..
I guess they sell more things when they're Jack White related but still.
Lazarettor sold 34,000 copies in the first week, how many of those are from die hards who would buy the vault and how many are from casual fans? I would bet that in my city there are maybe 5-10 vault subscribers and probably 100-200 people who bought Lazaretto. Think about the shows you go to, how many people are there? 3,000? how many of them do you think are vault members? 10?

first off, you can't compare the number of people buying jack white vault package that is only available for one month and the first week sales of a green series 7" that will stay in print forever or a $400 wooden library of old recordings.
<Jack White> alright i'm out to feed my cats

I know, that's why I posted the last paragraph.
They've always had 1,000 of each singles. It was stated 5 years ago, I don't expect to be able to find the quote though.

Given how hard it is to get early entry for shows these days, there has to be way more than 10 Vault members at each show.

Not in Europe - have been to and heard of many shows where there were only a few members with early entryAquamarine wrote:Given how hard it is to get early entry for shows these days, there has to be way more than 10 Vault members at each show.

Re: How many Vault members are there ?
I guess I'm thinking of the shows I go to which are further away from the Vault hub. The closer you get to Nashville the more vault members there are I think. We don't get all the perks that those people do so we're less invested in TMR.Aquamarine wrote:Given how hard it is to get early entry for shows these days, there has to be way more than 10 Vault members at each show.

Re: How many Vault members are there ?
Not so sure about that (though maybe for Europe). I was at the Seattle shows, for instance, far away from Nashville, where there were many Vault members in line who didn't have early entry. Same in San Francisco. Many people I know went to over a dozen US shows, in some cases many more, and between us we got early entry on an average of once each (some not at all). That's not counting being a +1, of course.
