It is in fact technically the exact opposite, hence the separation of wavelengths of white light in a prism, or a rainbow. However, light and matter are somewhat different, black objects absorb all light that hit them whereas when you see a coloured object, it's in fact a particular wavelength of light reflecting back at your eyes while all other colours/wavelenghts are absorbed. Anyway, I've clearly gone too far. That said, black matter is in fact a combination of other colours that absorb all visible light, making it appear black because it reflects nothing. Therefore black is coloured vinyl. Q.E.D.

^^ There's actually a lot of grey area in that whole question-- http://www.colormatters.com/vis_bk_white.html

Black/White split records are the absence of color and the inclusion of all colors AT THE SAME TIME.

Do we really need TMR to tell us that? As if it mattered...

Yes, my mistake (now corrected.) No offense intended Arran. (Thanks Adam.)

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

Apparently, Goner in Memphis has this album for sale already.
