Rob Jones designed 7".

Post by josephodonnell »

Hi,

May seem like a novice question, but does anyone have a picture of ALL of the Rob Jones designed 7" he designed in the Icky Thump era in one place? I'm trying to collect them all but I'm freaking out in thinking that theres some I've missed.

Thanks,
Joseph

It's not too much of a novice question, I found these series of covers a bit confusing at first. The first thing I would check is discogs.com, it's a great database/marketplace for practically any released music. The White Stripes section is really well kept and I use it all the time for information on releases, including prices. It's there you can find which artworks were on which 7-inches and which were CD only arts, or in some cases digital cover art only. Also the whitestripes.com "Discs" page has almost all the album/singles artworks and where they came from. Here are all the Rob Jones 7-inch covers I know of from Icky Thump:
Conquest - EP - CD.jpg
(Icky Thump, You Don't Know (UK), You Don't Know (US), Icky Thump (NME), Rag and Bone (NME), Conquest (A, B, C, In no order), and Conquista)

And here are all the CD/Digital covers
IcktyThumpNonCovers.jpg
(You Don't Know (UK CD), Rag and Bone (Digital), Conquest (CD), Conquista (CD))

Sorry if you already knew about those two resources, just trying to help.

Did those come with the box sets? I had no idea they existed. Man oh man I really want 'em too. 14 must have taken quite a bit of time to accumulate.

At times you can find the book cheap like on Amazon if you need a spare to cut on.
