Dead Leaves 7" RE - misspressing
Sorry to start a new topic with my first post, but I have a bit of a question.
I bought the black vinyl Dead Leaves & the Dirty Ground 7" on the weekend, but it actually has Lafayette Blues/Sugar Never Tasted So Good labels. The record is Dead Leaves though, and I was just wondering is this a mass misspressing where many of the records have this pressing error, or if this is just a one off that I managed to pick up?
Not that I'm worried, if anything misspressings are bigger collectors pieces, so I shan't complain. Just want to know whether this is common or not
Thanks.

Is this the XL or TMR pressing? Black or RSD version?
I don't know the info on this mis-press....but that info may help others.

Very cool!
I have the Black Friday RSD red edition, so I never picked up a standard black copy.
The discogs listing for the black version makes no mention of mismatched labels.

Suspect it would have to be TMR, but who know.Stl_ben wrote:Is this the XL or TMR pressing? Black or RSD version?

TMR and black vinyl. It was supposed to the the red RSD version in fact, but I was misinformed. I have to say this mispressing is probably more interesting thoughStl_ben wrote:Is this the XL or TMR pressing? Black or RSD version?

Yup. First I've heard of it. And you're right, a mislabel is way more interesting than the RSD version. Congrats.moon_sick wrote:TMR and black vinyl. Hi, Same thing with mine.
I bought the TMR version in Gothenburg, Sweden and it was mispressed aswell with Lafayette Blues / Sugar never tasted so good but Dead leaves / Stop breaking down was on it. I talked to the record store in Gothenburg and they had one mispressed left so that makes it 3 atleast. I also talked to a guy at The vault at Third Man Records but they never heard of the mispressing before. They told me to hold on to it though.
Would be fun to hear how many there is.
Have a fine evening!
Greetings from Sweden,
Daniel.

Sorry can't help.
I only collect and rarely play records.
Sounds like a cool novelty though.

No, from Bengans at Stigbergstorget. Looks like It's pretty rare so far, though.

Mark (Grim) also has one. I wonder if this is another of TMR's endless mind games they like to play or if it is a genuine error where someone forgot to change the stampers or labels.
